There's More To Do Than Could Ever Be Done!
So many people tell us they never even needed to leave The Sweet Escape during their stay because there was just so much to do on the property! However.....If you're curious about checking out the surrounding area, there IS plenty going on beyond our candy-coated gates! Clermont is the only part of peninsular Florida that actually has substantial hills AND...its own beautiful chain of roughly a dozen freshwater lakes. Here are just some of the fun things going on around the area:
We have dozens of local restaurants, chain restaurants, and an impressive handful are absolute gems. Locals swear by Root-n-Branch or The Southern on 8th for high quality meals, the Salt Shack for excellent waterside comfort food meals, Pepe's Cantina for modern Mexican cuisine, and....everyone argues over whether Ellie Lou's in Clermont or Mahon's in Groveland has the best BBQ. |

The President's Hall of Fame is a wax museum located at the base of the 'Citrus Tower' which is an historic Clermont landmark offering a romantic elevator ride to the top....and an excellent restaurant at the bottom! |
Of course, the Clermont area also has some common diversions as a bowling alley, multiplex cinema, indoor trampoline park, and plenty of other "regular" things to do! |
